Biography

Pearce
began riding at age 11 following his father's passion for riding and
horses. At age 24, John built himself a large
barn and arena and turned professional. Pearce started his
grand prix career in 1990 with his
mount "Super Trooper",
a horse started by John
as a 4 year old in 1985 and developed to international
level.
In
1992, Pearce was first named to the Canadian
Show Jumping Team and represented Canada at
the World Cup Finals in Del Mar, California. Since then, he has represented
his country internationally on 15 occasions and has been on winning
Nations' Cup team for Canada five times including Washington, New
York, Mexico and the Royal Winter Fair in Toronto. John has represented
Canada at World Cup Finals in Sweden and World Championships in Rome
where he was top Canadian in both venues and is now a current member
of our 2000 Olympic team going to Sydney. |
